I know there are some little mistakes in this video towards the end. Also the name of the song is "Thanatos", not "September Rain" as mentioned at the end (nice title though, too :-)) I'll replace this video with an edited version after finding time to do this. But still love this combination of Nora Below's wonderful song and these amazing pictures of our great artists and designers... Thanx so much to everyone of you!!! XOXOX

The flyer

Nora Below, who is not only a phantastic musician and singer as you heard in the video above, but also a great artist and drawer, did this lovely drawing of herself (left hand side), Popsimonova (middle) and Marlene von Steenvag (to the right) for our flyer, too. I asked her for that and suggested my ideas and she made and drew it.
So I finally just had to do the rest of it (ok., 'just' is a bit of nothing. To get the flyer into print, still many steps had to be taken (above you can see an example of what happened getting it into a printable form...)). (^.^)
But that's how we wanna work - together and in cooperation.

AUTUMN LEAVES: Weinrote Lack-Heels & Esskastanien

Every new style starts with new heels

Hier mein erster Outfit-Post mit meinen neuen, weinroten Lack-Heels, die ich auf dem Flohmarkt in Zagreb erstanden habe. Wie Ihr seht, passen sie wunderbar zu den bunten Blättern im herbstlichen Berlin. Ich trage sie mit schwarzen Overknees und einem kurzen schwarzen Rock. Viel mehr braucht es nicht: eine schwarze Corsage und ein schwarzer Cardigan dazu - fertig. In den Schuhen läßt sich trotz der Höhe übrigens sehr gut laufen. Ich bin begeistert. Was meint Ihr?

Stargate Straße / Prenzlauer Berg

Passend zum herbstlichen Outfit habe ich leckere Esskastanien gekauft, die auf serbokroatisch den süßen Namen Kesten tragen.

Da viele nicht so richtig wissen, wie die zubereitet werden, hier meine Anleitung - ist nämlich ganz einfach!

Zuerst die Maronischalen mit einem Messer einritzen.

Ca. 25 Minuten in Wasser kochen, danach Wasser abgießen und noch ca. 10 Minuten im zugedeckten, heißen Topf stehen lassen.

Salz auf ein Backblech streuen (fördert die Hitzebildung und Trocknung!) und Kastanien darauf verteilen. Bei ca. 175°C (Gasherd ca. Stufe 6) etwa 5 Minuten backen. Die Kastanien sollten dann an den Schalen leicht aufplatzen, aber eben auch nicht verbrennen. Also immer mal wieder eine Probe zwischendrin machen... Fertig! (^.^)

Wie bei jedem Naturprodukt kann es vorkommen, dass einzelne Maronen von innen schon nicht mehr gut sind. Da diese Exemplare sehr bitter sein können, empfiehlt es sich, jede Kastanie zunächst vorsichtig zu probieren. Sie müssen süß schmecken, sonst stimmt was nicht!

CROATIAN DIARIES # I: Live Performances in ZAGREB

A part of our Berlin Style! It! Takes! team including Nora Below and me recently landed in sunny Zagreb following a nice invitation of our Croatian friends Popsimonova and Zarkoff. In the context of the Style! It! Takes! project and POST PRODUCTION, a new multilateral post-industrial project started in Croatia, we want to work together in the next days on projects containing fashion, music, sub-culture, photography & videos, socio-political topics and much more.
After having a phantastic video & and photo shooting yesterday in an abandoned industrial site (videos will follow) this is our first public action in a Zagreb squat:
