As I promised, today here is the final special of my atheist 'advent calendar' (which was made of lovely pin-ups by Gil Elvgren) which – breaking with Christian traditions – does not consist of four parts, but of course is five-pointed – like a star!

And finally, we also change the genre a bit, which means that today there aren't pin-ups from the 1940s & 1950s combined with soul music from the 1960s, but other old heroines & heroes. And as it happens, along with that we really cross (!) – after our deliberately worldly calendar – the actual occasion of the 'Christmas Festival': the Birth of Christ, also known as Jesus (*lol*).
But as opponents of the death penalty, of course we don't crucify anybody,
but instead want to celebrate a bit and be happy!
And this of course is the actual reason for this post!
Since today we listen to music of my beloved Siouxsie & The Banshees, the (among many other things like of course their music & lyrics, their fashion & styles) band with the most beautiful record covers, of which we see here only one out of so many!

I always loved this song (which is derived from a Traditional French Christmas Carol) from one of my favorite bands ever ‎(it comes from the era of their beautiful "A Kiss In The Dreamhouse" album 1982) and I sometimes played it very early or at the very end of a DJ-set. But in all that years I never saw this video, since it's a very rare track (many of Siouxsie's single B sides were such masterpieces!) and I 'only' got it on the quite rare 7" inch single you see here. One day, my friend Pezi from Dollbreak found this video from French TV, and it contains former band member Robert Smith (The Cure) on percussion in it! Very cute video:

Beinahe perfekt.

So after we celebrated already with Gil Elvgren's lovely Pin-ups,
listened to 196Os sweet black soul music,
we can end this year's wonderful celebrations with my great hero*ines
Siouxsie & The Banshees.
Heaven on Earth!
Nearly perfect.
