Simultaneously to Evilyn Frantic's mermaid performance, dancer NAMJIRA showed her fantastic Geisha performance. Both happened in the beautiful lower garden, between the pond and the half-open building on the opposite garden side (where our great DJ Nuit Noire / Marie Germinal had her residence and later Clea Cutthroat's wonderful Alice performance and the live concerts took place). NAMJIRA was dressed up all in white as a Japanese Geisha and presented a wonderful headpiece by designer Beatrice Baumann from the Berlin based SWEET HATTRICE label. She started her performance with a nice red umbrella, opening and closing it with excellent moves, and danced her Asia Fusion style all through our guests, using a huge white fan and a beautiful scarf for her great gestures and expressions, ending up riding on a little white horse...

Die Suche nach einer geeigneten Location für STYLE! IT! TAKES! gehört zu den schwierigsten, bisweilen aber auch interessantesten Aufgaben jeder Veranstaltung. Da es bei uns ja nie langweilig werden soll, habe ich mich - wie bereits am Ende unseres Manifestes angedeutet - für die Juli Fashion Week für ein sommerliches Setting entschieden und im zauberhaften Garten des CHALET Clubs in Kreuzberg einen beinahe magischen Ort für unsere Shows gefunden...

Dreaming of STYLE! IT! TAKES! # 3 at Chalet Club Garden (May 2013)

Finding a suitable location for STYLE! IT! TAKES! is one of the most difficult, but sometimes also most interesting tasks of every event. Since with us it should never get boring, for the July Berlin Fashion Week I decided on a very summerly setting - as intimated already at the end of our Manifesto - and found an almost magical place for our shows in the enchanting garden of the CHALET club in Kreuzberg...

Letzten Sommer hat sich ein Teil der ehemaligen Bar25-Crew dem 1850 erbauten, denkmalgeschützten Sternenhaus vor dem Schlesischen Tor angenommen (früher war hier das "Heinz Minki") und es zu einer angesagten Kulturstätte umgewandelt.

Chalet is a club owned by former Bar25 crew members. It's housed in the center of Kreuzberg in a 150 year-old building, which "radiates the warm atmosphere of the 19th century."

Der Chalet Club hat sogar eine eigene Bushaltestelle / Chalet Club even got its own bus station (Bus 265 (N65) > S Schöneweide: Heckmannufer)

 It's also close both from U 1 Schlesisches Tor and S 41/42 Treptower Park (located in the middle of these stations)

Long after midnight, for NORA BELOW's last song "Glughy", our brilliant Gothic Tribal Fusion dancer NAMJIRA entered the stage...

NAMJIRA came with rosy, skin-coloured ballett slippers and a heavy sabre on her head.

She wore a black metal scale bra designed and made by LITTLE NEMO, combined with oriental style jewelry.

 

The two ladies didn't fear each other and did some sexy moves together...

I know there are some little mistakes in this video towards the end. Also the name of the song is "Thanatos", not "September Rain" as mentioned at the end (nice title though, too :-)) I'll replace this video with an edited version after finding time to do this. But still love this combination of Nora Below's wonderful song and these amazing pictures of our great artists and designers... Thanx so much to everyone of you!!! XOXOX

The flyer

Nora Below, who is not only a phantastic musician and singer as you heard in the video above, but also a great artist and drawer, did this lovely drawing of herself (left hand side), Popsimonova (middle) and Marlene von Steenvag (to the right) for our flyer, too. I asked her for that and suggested my ideas and she made and drew it.
So I finally just had to do the rest of it (ok., 'just' is a bit of nothing. To get the flyer into print, still many steps had to be taken (above you can see an example of what happened getting it into a printable form...)). (^.^)
But that's how we wanna work - together and in cooperation.
