Auch dieses Jahr wird wieder weltweit am Internationalen Frauen*kampftag am 8. März demonstriert, diskutiert und gefeiert (eine ausführliche Auflistung von Demonstrationen, Veranstaltungen, Ausstellungen und Parties in Deutschland, der Schweiz und Österreich findet sich im "Mädchenmannschaft"-Blog). Ich reiche hier mal die Möglichkeiten für Berlin durch, wo ab 16.30 h alle Wege zum Oranienplatz in Kreuzberg führen, bevor es dann zu verschiedenen Parties gehen kann. Hier die drei besten Wege zum Oranienplatz:

Capitalism relies on the economic dependence of women* and their unpaid, unfree and unrecognized labor. Feminismus heißt ein gutes Leben für alle!

Wir wollen eine Gesellschaft, die Vielfalt als Bereicherung empfindet und in der jede*r glücklich werden kann. Wir wollen eine gewaltfreie Gesellschaft, in der niemand erniedrigt und verachtet wird und in der jede*r Platz hat und niemand fragt, woher er*sie kommt. Das bedeutet für uns, dass wir die kapitalistischen und patriarchalen Verhältnisse radikal ändern müssen, damit wir selbstbestimmt und frei leben, lieben und arbeiten können.

Feminismus heißt gleiche Rechte für alle!

Im Kapitalismus sind Arbeit und Reichtum ungleich verteilt. Erwerbslosigkeit, Arbeitsausbeutung, Zwangsarbeit, Minilöhne und Altersarmut sind nur einige Symptome dieses Gesellschaftssystems, in dem besonders Frauen* benachteiligt sind. Sie leisten den Großteil der schlecht oder gar nicht bezahlten Erziehungs-, Pflege- und Sorgearbeit zu Hause und in der Gesellschaft.

Die strukturellen Geschlechterverhältnisse werden im Privaten, in der Arbeitswelt und der Wirtschaft sichtbar und schlagen sich im Alltag durch sexistische Machtverhältnisse und sexualisierte Gewalt nieder. (...) Menschen, die sich nicht den Kategorien Mann* und Frau* zuordnen wollen, wie Trans*- und Inter-Menschen, werden als „unnormal“ diskriminiert und gewalttätig angegriffen. (...) Durch Deutschland und Europa zieht sich ein national-konservativer Backlash, wodurch es immer wieder zu Angriffen auf Frauen*rechte kommt. Das bereits Erkämpfte wird immer wieder bedroht. Antifeminismus, Kampf gegen Gleichstellung und Rassismus sind gemeinsamer Nenner der neuen und alten Rechten (...). Rassistische Alltagspolitik wie Racial Profiling geht Hand in Hand mit der Verschärfung des Asylrechts und tödlicher Grenzpolitik europäischer Regierungen. Gleichzeitig nehmen auch Angriffe der Rechtsradikalen auf Gewerkschaftsorganisationen zu.

Sie fangen als Letztes an, aber werden die Ersten auf dem Oranienplatz sein, um alle anderen zu empfangen: die Aktivist*innen der Kampagne Strike 4 Repeal Berlin in Solidarität mit dem Streik für reproduktive Selbstbestimmung in Irland und ähnlichen Frauen* = Menschenrechts-Kämpfen weltweit. Mit dabei: Aktivist*innen der prochoice-Kampagne Dziewuchy dziewuchom Berlin aus Polen. :-)

They start as the last ones, but will be the first to be at Oranienplatz to receive all the others: the activists of the campaign Strike 4 Repeal Berlin in solidarity with the strike for reproductive autonomy in Ireland and similar women*s = human rights struggles worldwide. Als Freundin des Femininen wie auch von lesbischen und bisexuellen Frauen habe ich mich schon immer über die allerorten kursierenden Klischees über Lesben gewundert. Sogar in 'aufgeklärten' Kreisen zirkulieren immernoch vor allem die Bilder von 'burschikosen' Frauen mit (angeblich) männlichen* Attributen und Verhaltensweisen. Es ist zwar richtig, dass es mit der Butch in der lesbischen Welt auch eine maskuline 'Figur' gibt. In den lesbischen, bi- und transsexuellen und erfreulich weiten queeren Welten gibt es außerdem aber natürlich noch unzählige weitere Rollen- und Beziehungsmodelle. Und das ist, um mal wieder den ehemaligen Bürgermeister Wowereit zweckzuentfremden, 'auch gut so'.

Warum also sollte eine feminine Frau nicht eine feminine Frau lieben? Was ist daran so schwer zu verstehen? Naheliegend ist der Verdacht einer interessierten patriarchalen Unterstellung:
Wenn eine Frau schon Frauen liebt, dann muss in dieser Beziehung, in ihr selbst und / oder ihrer Partnerin irgendetwas 'Männliches' verborgen sein. Denn so ganz ohne männlich – das geht doch nicht... (^.^)

Selbstredend geht es mir durch den gewählten Fokus auf feminine Lesben nicht darum, mich gegen Butches oder ganz generell burschikose Frauen (auch Tomboys genannt) oder gegen androgyne Identitäten – gleich welcher sexuellen Präferenz – zu wenden. Ich bleibe nur, entsprechend meinen eigenen Neigungen, bei der Linie dieses Blogs, mich vor allem mit 'Feminitäten' zu beschäftigen (dies wiederum unabhängig vom Geburtsgeschlecht). In diesem Falle also mit lesbischen oder bisexuellen Femmes und Lipstick Lesben (es gibt unabhängig vom Begehren noch weitere Begriffe für Frauen mit explizit femininem Auftreten, wie zum Beispiel den schönen Ausdruck Girly Girls).

Aller Geschlechtervielfalt zum Trotz gibt es auf Seiten femininer Geschlechtsrollen ohnehin eine Schlagseite: Natürlich muss sich eine Frau, die auf Frauen steht, nicht erst zum Beispiel die Haare abschneiden (oder zumindest eine 'maskulin' auftretende Partnerin suchen), um lesbisch zu sein / werden. Aber wenn eine von ihnen oder beide es nicht tun, etwa Nagellack & Make-up, Kleider & Röcke und / oder lange Haare tragen und sich mit als feminin assoziierten Attributen und Verhaltensweisen umgeben, nimmt nicht nur die heteronormative Gesellschaft sie oft nicht als lesbisch wahr oder ernst. Das ist leider häufig immernoch so, und davon berichte ich Euch heute anhand einiger Erfahrungsberichte. Ich könnte auch eigene Erfahrungen beschreiben, aber heute will ich mal wieder andere Menschen sprechen lassen, anhand von drei bemerkenswerten Videoclips, die ich für Euch herausgesucht habe.

Zwei 'Girly Girls', Lipstick Lesben oder Femmes... ♥

Loving the feminine as well as lesbian and bisexual women, I always have been surprised about the stereotypes of lesbians circulating everywhere. Still, even in 'enlightened' circles mainly the pictures of 'tomboyish' women with (alleged) male* attributes and behaviors are circulating. It is true for sure that with the butch there is a masculine 'figure' in the lesbian world, too. But, of course, in the lesbian, bi- and transsexual and delightful wide queer worlds there are myriads of other further roles and models of relationship. And that is – to once again derive the former social democratic and gay Berlin mayor Klaus Wowereit – 'fine' [he became famous with his quote: "I'm gay, and that's all right"].

So why shouldn't a feminine women love a feminine women? What's so difficult to understand about that? The suspicion of a patriarchal assumption seems obvious:
If, at all, a women loves a women, then either in this relationship, in herself and / or her partner something 'male' has to be hidden. Since, completely without male – impossible... (^.^)

Self-evidently, with my focus on feminine lesbians it's not about to turn against butches or tomboyish women in general or against androgyous identities (regardless of which sexual preference). According to my own preferences, I only stick to the line of this blog to especially devote myself with 'feminities' (this, again, regardless of the biological sex). So, in this case with lesbian or bisexual femmes and lipstick lesbians (independently of desire there are further terms for women with explicit feminine appearance, like for example the beautiful expression girly girls).

Anyway, against all gender variety there is a bias on the sides of feminine gender roles:
Of course, a women who's attracted by women hasn't to cut her hair (or at least to search for a partner with 'masculine' appearance) to be / become lesbian. But if one of them or both of them are, for example, wearing nail polish & make-up, dresses & skirts and / or long hair and are surrounding themselves with attributes and behaviors associated feminine, often not only the heteronormative society doesn't perceive them or take them serious as lesbian. This, unfortunately, frequently still hasn't changed and today I report about that to you with some experience reports. I also could describe to you personal experiences, but today I want to let speak other people again with three notable video clips which I have picked out for you.

Bevor wir uns den so genannten Femmes und Lipstick Lesben zuwenden, erst einmal was zur (Nicht-) Wahrnehmung von Lesben allgemein in den angeblich so aufgeklärten westlichen Gesellschaften. Ich fürchte, auch in Berlin hätte eine ähnliche Umfrage nicht viel anders ausgesehen (was zu beweisen wäre):

Das gesellschaftliche Nicht-Ernst-Nehmen von femininen Frauen betrifft natürlich auch hetero- und bi-sexuelle Frauen, lesbische Frauen aber geballt, da es nicht nur von Seiten der Männer kommt, sondern zusätzlich auch aus Kreisen der eigenen lesbischen Subkultur. Darüber spricht eine lesbische Femme in dem letzten Video.

Of course, not taking serious feminine women in society also concerns hetero- and bi-sexual women, but it's agglomerated for lesbian women, since it not only comes from the side of men, but additionally from circles of the own lesbian subculture, too. Vielleicht habe ich ja zum Nachdenken anregen und besonders feminine Frauen mit lesbischen oder bisexuellen Neigungen etwas ermutigen können. Style! It! Since centuries, women are fighting for fundamental human rights, social equality and freedom of choices all over the world. Following the suggestion of German socialists and Marxists Clara Zetkin and Käte Duncker (both first members of the social-democratic SPD party, later both with the German communist party KPD), since 1911 (in the USA since 1909; it was US-American socialist May Wood-Simons who brought the idea to her socialist sisters in Europe) a Women's Day is celebrated in March, in remembrance both of the March Revolution in Germany 1848/49 and the revolutionary Paris Commune 1871 which also started in March.

After some switching with the dates and months during that decade, since 1921 the Women's Day is celebrated internationally on the 8th of March, in remembrance of an important strike by women of workers, soldiers and peasants in St. Petersburg on that day, which has been the start of the February Revolution 1917 in Russia (according to their old Julian calendar, the 8th of March was the 23rd of February).

Whereas in the beginning, the campaigning for women's suffrage and franchises had been in the center, during the first World War the fight against militarism and war, and later, social demands and the right to abortion came into focus. From that early internationalist times on, the day greatly spread around the world...

Iran: Death penalty for defending against rape

Reyhaneh Jabbari, 26, was sentenced to death in 2009 by an Iranian court for allegedly murdering a government intelligence operative who was trying to rape her at the age of 19 years. Despite of an international human rights outcry for clemency, she was hanged in October 2014. In her last will and testament, the young woman said that she did not want to be buried in a grave where her mother would go to cry and suffer, nor did she want her to wear black.
