EVILYN FRANTIC & MISTRESS WANDA The Ponygirl Show

Es war so bei unserem Event letztes Wochenende und hier ist's auch so - mensch könnte sagen: Und jetzt zu etwas völlig anderem...!!! (^.^) Nach der wunderschönen, eher romantischen, träumerischen und zauberhaften "Blume"-Show von VILORIJA war es Zeit für etwas Wildes, Furioses - und Lustiges. Zeit für die Ponygirl-Show von Model und Burlesque Performerin EVILYN FRANTIC und ihrer feschen MISTRESS WANDA!!!

Ich hatte schon länger nach einem Ponygirl für unsere Sommer-Veranstaltung gesucht und irgendwann stellte sich heraus, dass die in vielen Dingen sehr geschickte EVILYN FRANTIC seit einiger Zeit dabei war, sich ein Outfit für eine solche Show zu basteln... Ein Kopfgeschirr, Pferdeohren und Hufen aus schwarzem Latex - alles selbstgemacht von Evilyn! Dazu unterstützte uns das Berliner Avantgarde Fashion Label DEGENEROTIKA mit einem ihrer schwarzen, robusten, verstellbaren und vielseitig tragbaren Geschirre aus feinstem Pferdeleder. Fehlte nur noch die Mistress - und auch diese Suche verlief erfolgreich und war eine gute Wahl, wie die Bilder zeigen...

It has been like that at our event last weekend and it's the same here - best would be to say: And now for something completely different...!!! (^.^) After the wonderful, rather romantic, dreamy and enchanting "Blume" show of VILORIJA it was time for something wild, furious - and funny. Time for the ponygirl show by model and Burlesque performer EVILYN FRANTIC and her posh MISTRESS WANDA!!!

I've been looking for a ponygirl for our summer event already since some time and one day it turned out that EVILYN FRANTIC, who's very skilled in many things, has been active since some time in creating an outfit for just such a show... A head harness, horse ears and hooves made out of black latex - everything done herself by Evilyn! In addition, Berlin Avantgarde Fashion Label DEGENEROTIKA supported and provided us with one of their black, sturdy, adjustable and versatile wearable harnesses made out of finest horse leather. Only the mistress was missing - and also this search proceeded fruitful and was a good choice, like the pictures show...

Auch wenn es immer so lieb drein guckte, war das Ponygirl von Anfang an rotzfrech und ungehorsam... ;-)
Even if the ponygirl always looked so gently, it has been snotty and disobedient from the beginning... ;-)

... wofür es dann auch einen Klaps auf den Hintern gab, was das Pony freilich noch ungehorsamer machte...
... wherefore it got a slap across the backside - something which made the pony even more insubordinate of course...

... nachdem sich das Ponygirl auch noch von ihren Vorderhufen und dem die Schultern bedeckenden Tuch befreit hatte und einfach davon lief, gab es kein Halten mehr...
... after the ponygirl even freed herself of her front hooves and the scarf covering her shoulders and simply run away, there was no holding back...

... woraufhin sich die schöne, aber doch etwas strenge Mistress Wanda zu einer noch härteren Gangart entschloss... und einen Tacker (!) aus dem Frack holte
... whereupon the beautiful, but nevertheless a bit rigorous Mistress Wanda decided to increase the pace even more... and fetched a stapler (!) out of her tailcoat

... und damit verschiedene Karten auf dem Po des armen Ponygirls festtackerte...

... was gemischte Reaktionen in den Gesichtern hervorrief
(hinten rechts unsere grinsende DJ Frau Rica)...
... what caused mixed reactions in the faces

Und, ehrlich gesagt, nein, das war kein 'Zaubertrick', wie Mistress Wanda dem staunenden Publikum auch ganz genüßlich demonstrierte, indem sie die Karten wieder abriss (!) und den teils etwas irritierten Gästen mitsamt der darin steckenden Tacker-Nadeln in die Hände reichte... uff!!!

And, to be honest, no, that wasn't a 'legerdemain' (magic trick), what Mistress Wanda exposed with relish to the wide-eyed audience by tearing off (!) the cards again and handing them over along with the therin stuck staples into the hands of the partly a bit irritated guests... uff!!!

Das ging zu weit - auch das Ponygirl rebellierte! Ab auf die Pferdekoppel!!!
That went too far - the ponygirl rebelled, too! Ahead onto the paddock!!!

 ... und nun musste auch Mistress Wanda etwas mehr Haut zeigen...
... and now also Mistress Wanda had to show a bit more of her skin...

Doch nicht nur das: die Rache des Ponys war bitterlich... ;-)
But not only that: the revenge of the pony has been bitterly... ;-)

Aber wie das auch in 'fetischistischen' oder BDSM-Kreisen meistens ist: das schöne Paar schaute danach recht glücklich drein... (^.^) ...und so endete auch die zweite Show mit händchenhaltenden Frauen ♥
But as it is in 'fetishistic' or BDSM circles mostly, too: the beautiful pair looked quite happy after... (^.^) ...and so also the second show ended with girls holding hands ♥

Wie ein Großteil unseres netten Publikums habe ich - begleitet von glucksenden 'Autsch'-Gefühlen - schon lange nicht mehr bei einer Burlesque-Show so gelacht - und lautstarker Beifall war den beiden gewiss...

Like most of our nice audience - accompanied with chuckling 'Ouch' feelings - I hadn't such a big laugh at a Burlesque show since a very long time - and tremendous applause and big cheers for the performers has been assured...


...und es war noch nicht das Ende, da Evilyn Frantic und ihre Mistress Wanda noch nicht genug von ihrem 'Pet Play' hatten und das Ganze passend zu unserem Veranstaltungskonzept als 'Walking Act' mit offenem Ende betrachteten. Und so grasten die beiden das ganze Areal ab, vom Hinterhof über den Barraum des Clubs in den Innenhof der Panke und spielten ihr erotisches Spielchen einfach weiter... ♥


...and it wasn't the end, since Evilyn Frantic and her Mistress Wanda hadn't enough already from their 'pet play' and considered their performance suiting to our event concept as a 'walking act' with open end. And so both of them grazed the whole area, from the backyard through the bar room of the club into the inner yard of Panke and just continued to play their erotic game... ♥

... und so gab's dann doch noch eine kleine Extra-Belohnung! (^.^) ♥

... and so there has been a little extra reward after all! (^.^) ♥

POPSIMONOVA conquers Europe

One of the nice and special things about our STYLE! IT! TAKES! project is that we try to keep an eye on our well selected fashion designers, artists, dancers, gymnasts, photographers... One of our most amazing musicians, singers, models and designers (all in one!) is POPSIMONOVA - the grande Croatian Electro-Diva who has been part of the first two Style! It! Takes! - Berlin Fashion Week Nights # 1 (2012) and # 2 (2013). So I'm very happy to hear that Lana has kind of a break-through finally... both concerning record releases and lots of live performances... And - needless to say - there's new photo material arriving, ecstatic ecstasy inclusive as always... ♥

After more and more releases on different labels and compilations (both as Popsimonova and with various other collaborations, for example ZARKOFF, who played live in Berlin at our first event in 2012), late last year she has having been released her first 12" vinyl on Netherlands Electro-Label Gooiland Elektro Records, a sub-label from Enfant Terrible.

Surprisingly the label decided on starting to release 4 very early tracks of her, sung in her original Serbo-Croatian language - which is the first time in music that a foreign label releases vinyl with tracks in this language!!! Hvala lijepa! ♥

The title of this amazing EP, "Staviti Crveni Ruz", translates like "Put on red lipstick" and it contains four quite different, all very danceable, thrilling and catchy tracks.

The technoid title track "Staviti crveni ruz" is about her state of mind after coming home from her factory job:

Put on red lipstick / turn off the lamp in the corner,
let the turntable scrape / turn on the fan,
open a window, let dragons of stormy sky enter between the walls,
lie down on the floor / fall asleep without any intention to wake up

...a very beautiful description of life in alienated (post-)industrial societies and also for the music my favourite song, since the dragons seem to fly directly into an intensive & great club night - (not) forgetting the status we come from...

So I'm happy that Lana - who already commanded great lines like “Turn off your television – We go out!!!” (in her song No Contact) - kept her red lipstick close - it's a symbol of our loves to life and our resistance to oppression, both...

Closely related with the first topic, the hectical „Brzo“ (Fast) with its ticking military-style drums and distorted stressy guitar sounds is exactly about that, about "fast instant life today" (Popsimonova):

be smiling, be nice, be healthy, grow up fast, fast in school, work fast, fast home, quickly in the evening, quickly find someone, quickly make fun, fast revealed love, quick rest, quickly get out of the way, and you will die quickly and rich, time is money

Did we hear such both sensible and clear words referring to most of our everyday lives in electronic music in the last years very often? I missed them and sort of lost interest in that kind of music for that reason... thanx for bringing us back to what matters Popsimonova!!!
(in that context the just released new Laibach album positively comes to my mind immediately - since, yes, it's definitely time for clear words about our lives and the world we are living in again! Regarding this Enfant Terrible record being a very retro release, Popsimonova was ahead of times (please check my first Popsimonova record review which also shows the political awareness of parts of the Post-Yugoslavian Underground scenes)... and we should love her for that! She's a pioneer!!! ♥)

The other side opens strongly with the beautiful wavy, dark and spectral Electro-Minimal-Track „Ektoplazma“ which is definitely a spooky & spacy dance hit!!! (I put the lyrics below).

Track B2 „Danas Si Slab“ (Today you are weak), an Industrial style song about personal life feelings and relationships, ends this great EP and it's oppressive darkness is touching me so much, that I would say, uuugh, maybe second best of this consistently great record, which could be running endless hours without getting boring and last forever - I just want more and more and more... so I always just switch and switch the sides and listen again... let the turntable scrape...

Since then, Popsimonova is performing live gigs all around Europe (& abroad), from her bases in Sisak (the Croatian Sheffield!) and Zagreb over Ukraine, France and Czech Republic (to name just a few) and now together with Jessica 93 & Dorcelsius in a touring package all around Europe up to the North in Scandinavia...

A: The good thing is, you're constantly bordering Germany so if anything fails, just hop into Germany and they will sort you out ;-) GERMAN EFFICIENCY

B: all my biggest troubles on tour happened in Germany :-)

POPSIMONOVA is a fashionista

"The new upcoming queen of cold electro (wave)" (Enfant Terrible label about POPSIMONOVA) is not only a great musician, but also a fashion designer herself. Especially significant is her series of blue dresses, which all suit perfectly with her blonde wild hairstyle, sometimes combined with golden or red elements and applications.
In the context of our STYLE! IT! TAKES! project she has also been modeling both live and in studio for DEGENEROTIKA avantgarde fashion, photographed by Slovenian artist and fashion photographer Shąvi Ląvi, but also by Berlin based photographers Majlo Milevskij, Ruby Venezia Kainu and Lux Artifex (Atelier 'ex Lux'). Some months ago our photographer Jarka Snajberk shot her for the STYLE! IT! TAKES! book which is in a making. So, new gorgeous photos are to come...

NÄD MIKA live is a WUNSCHGESTÖBER

Having our punk fashion sub-topics of the holes, the nets and the transparency all perfectly with the harness by DEGENEROTIKA shown by Laura SCHEN during her wonderful live concert earlier that evening, NÄD MIKA was the great representative of the punk-fashion sub-topics of the shields and of visibility later that night. Just like the opposite of the other sphere - regarding some 'original' punk fashion significant in items like leather jackets, heavy boots, spikes and so on. Many references to these kinds of styles appeared in NÄD's stage outfit, starting from hiding under a monk-like cowl during the beginning of her show, when everything was smoky already since the fog machine of Urban Spree did a good job on that...

Actually, that is where she came from!!! (^.^)

NÄD MIKA brought her dancer ANITA with her, who's outfit was a good complement to the shields-sphere of Näd in the sense of the holes, nets & transparency sphere...

ANITA has been a very pleasant 'present' by Näd...

... after taking off the cowl, the main outfit of NÄD MIKA was to be seen underneath:
an amazing costume by fashion designer Julia Weinstock's WUNSCHGESTÖBER label (Wunschgestöber is a very suitable name, it means something like a flurry of wishes and desires...), made out of black wet-look lacquer with a significant triangle or X between shoulders and hips, highlighted by yellow stripes following and emphasizing this flamboyant form...


... and this gorgeous outfit was just as Näd's concert as a whole...

  It has been so foggy on stage then that NÄD MIKA needed to wear sunglasses... (^.^)

 The beginnings of the disaster... NÄD MIKA throws puffed rice into the ecstatic and happy audience... ♥

 ... so, KURT VON BLEY thought, sounds funny, why not open a bottle of champagne... ;-)

... and ANITA thought: Fuck you - this stage is for girl's fun only!!! (^.^)

Did she think this? Did she think? Did Kurt have a chance to think? What happened to the three of them later? What did Näd do after her performance? Who was doing what with whom later? Is there a dominant lesbian relationship between Näd and Anita and Kurt is their slave or is Anita dominating both Näd & Kurt? Is Kurt the master of both of them? Does Anita love Näd and who is jealous about that? Does Näd love Anita and Kurt is gay? Does Kurt love Näd but was to shy to tell her and so became a slave of Anita? Are Näd and Anita still friends after this performance? Are Anita and Kurt still friends after this performance? And what about Kurt and Näd? Do they all love each other? Will we ever know???
Is it all just a show and nobody loves anybody?
