Vor genau einem Jahr erschien dieses großartige Photo erstmals in diesem Blog in meinem Post "A real scary Halloween". Das Bild erinnerte mich damals an eine Fledermaus mit gespreizten Flügeln. Wie bei vielen im Netz aufgefundenen Photos blieb aber zunächst unklar, von wem es ist und aus welchem Kontext es stammt (und ich höre nicht auf, Euch Social Media-Nutzer*innen mit diesem Thema auf die Nerven zu gehen, bis Ihr Euer respektloses Verhalten gegenüber Künstler*innen, Models, Photograph*innen und anderen Kulturschaffenden in Form des fast schon mutwilligen Verschweigens von Autor*innenschaft und Akteuren endlich aufgebt!). Da ich mir schon dachte, dass es sich um ambitioniertere Fashion-Photographie handeln würde, machte ich mich also mal wieder erfolgreich auf die dennoch immer etwas mühsame Suche nach den Beteiligten. Pünktlich zu Halloween 2016 gibt es nun heute in unserer Serie "Legendary Fashion Shoots" Photos aus diesem – schon wieder russischen! – Shooting von Andrej Peredireev mit dem Model Ekaterina Vladi. Und siehe da: die schwarze Fledermaus ist ein schwarzer Schwan! Und was für eine*r...

Exactly one year ago, the great header photo was published for the first time in this blog in my post "A real scary Halloween". To me, at that time the picture was reminiscent of a bat with spread wings. But as with many photos found in the web, at first it remained unclear by whom it was made and out of which context it originates (and regarding this topic, I will not stop to get on the nerves of social media users until you finally give up your disrespectful behavior towards artists, models, photographers and other cultural creatives in form of the almost fraudulent concealment of authorship and actors!). As I was quite sure that it's about a more ambitious fashion photography, I started – once again successfully – the nevertheless always a bit laborious search for the participants. Just in time for Halloween 2016, in our series "Legendary Fashion Shoots" now today here are photos from this – yet again Russian! – shooting by Andrew Peredireev with model Ekaterina Vladi. And lo and behold: the black bat is a black swan! And what a special one...

TAKES! # 5 von THE WINGS OF DESIRE kam die schöne Bloggerin EN FINSTERNIS (http://nebelviolet.blogspot.com) in einem wunderschönen schwarzen Kleid aus der Kollektion "Pure Seduction" von V I A N Fashion vor die Bühne und performte in stummfilmartiger Mimik eine ganze Geschichte, die sich um diesen Song dreht... eine sehr beeindruckende, ausdrucksvolle und schöne, wenn auch düstere Performance... ♥

For the second last song "Divers" of the first live-concert at STYLE! IT! TAKES! # 5 by THE WINGS OF DESIRE the beautiful blogger EN FINSTERNIS (http://nebelviolet.blogspot.com) came in a wonderful black dress out of the collection "Pure Seduction" of V I A N Fashion ahead of the stage and performed with mimes reminiscent of the silent film era a whole story revolving around this song... a very impressive, expressive and beautiful, though gloomy performance... ♥

EN FINSTERNIS in the beautiful dress by V I A N Fashion reading the letter with the last words of her love, the diver, sung about in the wonderful song of THE WINGS OF DESIRE...

Have you ever seen light where is no sun
Have you ever watched underwater dance

You can't imagine all the damage we have done
And how my yearning for your warmth intense

The gestures and mimes of EN FINSTERNIS beautifully reminded a lot of old movies of the 'golden years' of the 1920s era, so also the 'Jazz-impression' of clarinettist Lena from THE WINGS OF DESIRE suited perfectly... ♥

Trotz all der Traurigkeit im Ausdruck verkörperte die schöne EN FINSTERNIS ganz hervorragend die mit ihren Reizen und durch ihre Schönheit ihren Verehrer (oder ihre Verehrerin) ins Verderben stürzende Femme fatale, deren Typus inspirierend für die V I A N - Kollektion "Pure Seduction" war, aus der das Kleid stammt... ♥

Despite of all the sadness in expression the beautiful EN FINSTERNIS brilliantly embodied the type of the Femme fatale who with her charms and her beauty precipitates her devotee into ruin, a stock character which has been inspiring for the V I A N collection "Pure Seduction", from which the dress is a part of... ♥

There's no other place where the movements are so graceful and slow
I know
Where bible black darkness gives birth to a beautiful glow
mellow
I've seen oysters that were as Archangels bright
How i wish you could see them my deep beloved bride

EN FINSTERNIS (in the semi-transparent triangle-shaped dress by V I A N Fashion with

beautiful black lace around the neck)

tears the horrific letter to pieces...

I still fall into darkness like a spaceship that lost it's orbit
Morbid
Nothing that i can do, but to sink into this bottomless pit
And repeat
The words that before that "prayers" were called
But now sound meaningless, empty and cold

... starting a gloomy ceremony with a candle and hiding behind an also triangle-shaped black scarf she moved up and down slowly in front of her face with empty eyes...

In combination with her 'big hair' that enchanting scene reminded me a bit of the high priestess of Dark Punk,

Siouxsie Sioux... ♥

... finally kneeing down and starting to pray...

Mit diesem (fast) Ende des großartigen THE WINGS OF DESIRE Konzertes sind wir recht tief in die Ozeane der Gärten der Lüste (unser Motto) getaucht... mit einer wunderschönen Performance voller Dramatik und Erotik, Traurigkeit und Tränen... beeindruckend umgesetzt und inszeniert von EN FINSTERNIS! Traumhaft!!! ♥♥♥

Aber was könnte uns wieder aufmuntern? Definitiv: noch mehr Feuer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ♥♥♥

So, with this (nearly) ending of this great THE WINGS OF DESIRE concert we dived quite deep into the oceans of The Gardens of Desire (our motto)... with a wonderful performance full of drama and erotic, sadness and tears... impressively implemented and enacted by EN FINSTERNIS! Gorgeous!!! ♥♥♥

Schon länger versuche ich für unser STYLE! IT! TAKES! - Projekt Kontakte zu Berliner Hochschulen und jungen Mode-Design-Student*innen aufzubauen. Nachdem sich erfreulicherweise mit der Mode-Designerin B. A. Jenna Hartmann und ihrem Transgender Fashion Label BAAL erstmals eine solche an unserer Veranstaltung beteiligt hat (bei STYLE! IT! TAKES! # 4 im Urban Spree zur Berlin Fashion Week im Januar 2014) und das auch ganz großartig bei unseren Gästen ankam, haben wir bei der vor der Tür stehenden STYLE! IT! TAKES! # 5 (am Samstag, den 12. Juli 2014 in der Panke in Berlin-Wedding) mit SCHRÜPPE McINTOSH und V I A N Fashion zwei weitere, sehr unterschiedliche Mode-Designerinnen aus Jenna's ehemaliger Klasse an der Mediadesign Hochschule dabei. Wir freuen uns sehr darüber, neben unseren bekannteren und erfolgreichen Labels wie Degenerotika (Berlin / Ljubljana), Yan Hats aus Argentinien oder Vilorija aus Paris auch jungen Designer*innen eine Plattform geben zu können, bei uns ihre Mode in einem relativ großen und dennoch ungewöhnlichen Rahmen bei den Berlin Fashion Week - Showroom Days präsentieren zu können. Nachdem es heute ein sehr schönes und herzliches Fitting mit der V I A N Designerin Vian Talab und Tänzerin EN Finsternis gab, möchte ich Euch nun ihr Label vorstellen.

For quite some time I try to expand contacts for our STYLE! IT! TAKES! - project to Berlin colleges / universities and young fashion design students. After fortunately with fashion designer B. A. Jenna Hartmann and her Transgender Fashion Label BAAL for the first time such a student participated in our events (at STYLE! IT! TAKES! # 4 in Urban Spree for Berlin Fashion Week in January 2014) and our guests liked that very much, for STYLE! IT! TAKES! # 5 standing just around the corner (on Saturday, 12th of July 2014 in Panke club in Berlin-Wedding), with SCHRÜPPE McINTOSH and V I A N Fashion two further, very different fashion designers from Jenna's former class at the Mediadesign Hochschule are joining us now. We are happy very much to be able to provide a platform not only for our more known and successful labels like Degenerotika (Berlin / Ljubljana), Yan Hats from Argentina or Vilorija from Paris but also for young designers to present their fashion in a relatively big and nevertheless unusual setting at Berlin Fashion Week - Showroom Days. After there has been a very nice and cordially fitting today with V I A N designer Vian Talab and dancer EN Finsternis, I would like to introduce her label to you now.

V I A N ist ein junges Fashion Label aus Berlin, gegründet von Vian Talab. Der Stil des Labels zeichnet sich durch tragbares, extravagantes und modernes Design sowie Eleganz, klassisch-körpernahe Formen und raffinierte Schnittführung aus. Bei den Materialien und der Verarbeitung wird besonderer Wert auf Hochwertigkeit gelegt. Die Abschluss-Arbeit von Designerin Vian Talab war "Pure Seduction", eine Kollektion, die an die vorherige anknüpfte und diese weiterentwickelte.

The graduation work of designer Vian Talab has been "Pure Seduction", a collection which took up the direction of the earlier one and extended it.

Und es wird nicht die einzige Überraschung bleiben!!!

Of course, we won't reveal for which outfit we decided today. And in other ways as well we can be eager how it will look like, when our dancer EN Finsternis will wear and present something from the collection of V I A N in form of her performances. And it will not be the only surprise!!!

An Haute Couture dress by Degenerotika

Lately I bought a custom made, partly personally handsewn dress by fashion designers Thea B. Adora and Jasa Gladez from Degenerotika, made out of an astonishing, breathtakingly beautiful and luxurious fabric. I first wore it at the Laibach concert, combined with simple white tights and stripey sling-strapped stilletto heels. Though being very tired and exhausted from a long night, when I came back next morning, I didn't want to dress off that lovely outfit and so I decided to make some self-portraits in my gorgeous new Degenerotika dress before finding a rest...
